Samuels Gorge Grenache 2022

From the gnarly, old (80 -100 years) bush vines dry grown in the austere conditions of the Blewitt Springs slopes, along with 10% from Claredon. These vineyards give great, concentrated aromatics to the wine. Hand harvested, picking earlier, then very gentle handling in the winery. Just 10% whole bunch. A long, slow ferment using indigenous yeast, with minimal pump overs. Pressed to tank to settle, elevage in old oak for 12-15 months, no fining and light filtration before bottling.
