The 2022 vintage of IDDA Etna Bianco Sicilia DOP showcases a beautifully expressive character made from 100% Carricante, grown on the southern slopes of Mount Etna. Fermented in a mix of stainless steel and large oak barrels, this unique Sicilian white balances ripe stone fruits with a refreshing minerality.

Expect a delightful blend of young peach, apricot, and almond, complemented by a zesty candied lime and saline minerality. Its juicy, floral notes lead to a long, crisp finish with hints of peach, citrus peel, and honey. This vintage delivers vibrant acidity and a subtle, smoky texture, perfect for those who enjoy a refreshing yet complex wine.

“Sourced from vines in Biancavilla, on Etna’s southwest slope between 700-800m, and in Belpasso, on the southern slope between 600-700m, IDDA Bianco is vinified and aged in a combination of stainless steel and 10hl barrels, it has a fine, smoky, flinty nose with wafts of peach, mango and white flowers. In the mouth it’s intense and vertical, with juicy sapidity and great acidity defining its edges. Subtly textured and zingy, there’s peach, citrus peel, honey, lime juice and white flowers to be found, ending with a gentle stoniness” – 92 points – Decanter
