Ten Minutes by Tractor McCutcheon Chardonnay 2025

Sitting between 175 and 200 metres above sea level, McCutcheon is the second highest vineyard on the estate and one of its most consistent sources of crystalline, finely structured Chardonnay. The 2025 vintage brought moderate warm days and cool dry nights through summer and autumn, producing healthy canopies and excellent fruit quality. Handpicked in mid-March at 4.0 tonnes per hectare, from a blend of P58 (76%) and 95 (24%) clones.

Whole bunch pressed to stainless steel, settled overnight, then racked to concrete for indigenous yeast fermentation on light lees before moving to French oak. Occasional light bâtonnage, varied malolactic fermentation across barrels, and 11 months in a combination of 25% new and seasoned French oak before light filtration and bottling.
