Stargazer Rada – Pinot Meunier + Pinot Noir 2024

Stargazer “Rada” 2024 is a unique blend of 51% Pinot Meunier and 49% Pinot Noir, with a small addition of Gamay. The Pinot Meunier comes from the Pipers Brook region in North East Tasmania, known for its high-quality sparkling wines. The Pinot Noir is sourced from two Coal River Valley sites near Richmond and Tea Tree, adding depth and complexity. This year marks the first inclusion of Gamay, from vines planted in 2021 at the Palisander vineyard.

In crafting this wine, 90% of the fruit was gently destemmed, with the remaining 10% left as whole bunches for added structure. Additionally, 40% of the Pinot Noir was co-fermented with the Pinot Meunier, while the Gamay underwent a 10-day carbonic maceration to enhance its bright fruit character.

The result is a balanced, vibrant red with notes of red fruit, sage flower, and chamomile, lifted by natural acidity and smooth tannins.
