Prophet’s Rock Olearia Pinot Noir 2023

Vibrant red and dark cherry, wild herbs and subtle spice unfold in perfect balance, supported by fine, chalky tannins and a mineral edge that speaks clearly of its rocky Bendigo origins. The palate is elegant yet energetic, finishing long and refined.

Olearia is sourced exclusively from the steep, high-altitude blocks of the Rocky Point Vineyard overlooking Lake Dunstan. The schist-based soils, studded with clay pockets, are low in vigour and rich in minerals, producing wines with great tension, precision and freshness.

The grapes were handpicked and destemmed, with a high proportion of whole berries. Wild fermentation with minimal extraction (one gentle pigeage per vintage), followed by 17 months in French oak (35% new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
