Neldner Road Herrmann Kalimna Shiraz 2021

From the Kalimna subregion of the north-western Barossa, considered the backbone of the region’s Shiraz. Eighty-five-year-old vines on yellow to grey clays over limestone. Fermented in open-top concrete vats, basket pressed, then 24 months in French oak barrique with 50% new. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Intense aromas of blueberry, blackberry jam, vanilla and olive tapenade with subtle charcuterie, graphite and tar. The palate is soft, mouth-coating and opulent, with real depth and richness.
