Neldner Road Brennecke Seppeltsfield Grenache 2021

From a single east to south-east facing hillside in Seppeltsfield at 260 metres altitude, where 120-year-old vines grow on heavy red clays over calcareous subsoils. The same fruit once destined for Torbreck’s Les Amis Grenache. Fermented in open-top concrete vats, basket pressed, then 24 months in French oak barrique with 50% new. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Ripe red cherry, redcurrant, rhubarb and kirsch on the nose, with hints of Turkish delight and cedar. The palate is sleek and sensual, with a red-fruited core of cherry and cranberry, layered with spice, vanilla and a plush, generous finish.
