Mulline Single Vineyard Portarlington Chardonnay 2025

Just one kilometre from the water at Port Phillip Bay, the Nurringa Park Vineyard in Portarlington is one of Geelong’s most beautifully situated sites. Planted in 1994 to clones originally selected for sparkling wine, this is always the more restrained and tightly wound of Mulline’s two single vineyard Chardonnays, shaped by sandy loam, dark clay and limestone soils and strong maritime influence.

Hand-picked and pressed straight to oak with full solids, fermented cool and sulphured in place post primary. Twenty three percent in new French oak, 30% through malolactic fermentation, eight months in barrel.

White stone fruit, fresh honey and a subtle mineral lift on the nose. The palate is elegant, impeccably balanced and long, with the precision you would expect from a site this close to the coast.
