Michel Laroche & ses enfants Petit Chablis 2023

Michel Laroche often says Petit Chablis has more in common stylistically with ‘flat’ Champagne than White Burgundy or ‘Chardonnay’ note and I totally agree. That leaner, mineral, unoaked, reductive style of Chardonnay that historically we associate with Petit Chablis is very much the characteristics of this wine.

This Petit Chablis comes from family certified organic vineyards from the around the villages of Beine, Chablis, and Maligny with a small portion acquired from a certified organic grower. Average age of vines is 25 years old.

Wild Ferment from pied de cuve, fermented then aged entirely in stainless steel on fine lees for a least minimum of six months. 100% malolactic.
