“The 2022 Chablis Vaillons 1er Cru was aged for 12 months in tank and 6 months in barrel (10% new). It has a lovely bouquet of yellow plum and touches of orange pith–much more generous than the 2021. The palate is well balanced with superb salinity, ample weight and tension. A subtle sour lemon note enlivens the finish. Excellent.” – 92 pts – Neal Martin – Vinous

“Still in tank but will have some wood later. This is an all-round Vaillons coming from Chatains and Séchet higher up, plus Mélinots lower down at the west end and Epinottes to the east. A fine fresh salty nose. Brisk lemon notes on the palate, with the usual stony qualities, medium length. Actually finishes very prettily. Drink from 2027-2033.
