Gaja Barbaresco 2023 150cl Magnum

Few producers are as inseparable from an appellation as Gaja is from Barbaresco. Sourced from 14 vineyards across the communes of Barbaresco and Treiso, each parcel fermented and aged separately for 12 months in French oak before blending and a further 12 months in Slavonian oak botti.

The 2023 is defined by its floral character and the sweetness of both its aromatics and tannins. Pollen, bergamot, roses and violets on the nose, with hints of lemongrass, marzipan and wild strawberry. The palate is delicate and medium-bodied, with a smooth, fresh texture, fine sweet tannins and a long, aromatic finish that invites another sip.
