Eleni & Edouard Vocoret Chablis Le Boucheron 2023

$120.00

“Although this vineyard has always been in the family, it was only first bottled under the Vocoret domaine label in 2017. The tiny 0.44-hectare plot lies between the 1er Cru hills of Vaillons and La Forêt, planted on Kimmeridgian soils with a high proportion of white clay – “hard to work,” as Eleni Vocoret jokes, but producing wines of striking mineral clarity.

With 40-year-old vines, northwest exposure, and a traditional élevage of wild fermentation in steel followed by 12 months in well-seasoned barriques, this Chablis shows a balance of freshness, texture, and terroir-driven expression. Expect a mix of citrus, green apple, and chalky minerality, carried by an elegant, crystalline frame.

Critic Review

“…clean and fresh bouquet… Granny Smiths and light citrus fruit… refreshing bitter lemon note on the entry… slight Asian feel… Drink over 2–5 years.” – 88–90 points, Neal Martin
