Daniel Chotard Sancerre Blanc Classique 2023

A beautiful Sancerre that blends fruit from three different vineyard sites, each bringing something unique to the glass. The Caillottes vineyard adds bright stone fruits and floral notes, while the Terre Blanche’s clay soils give richness, freshness and structure. Finally, fruit from the Griottes brings delicate white flowers and a fine mineral edge. The winemaking is all about balance — wild fermentations, gentle ageing across steel, acacia and oak barrels (with no new oak to overwhelm the fruit), and minimal sulphur at bottling. The result is a pure, elegant Sancerre that shows both freshness and depth, with lovely floral aromatics, juicy fruit and a clean, mineral finish.
