Bader Mimeur Chassagne Montrachet Blanc En Journoblot 2019
$195.00
Nathalie considers En Journoblot to be their best terrior. The lieu borders with the Grand Cru of Criot Batard Montrachet and in the top left corner just 15 meters from Batard Montrachet. Different soil to her other plots, a lot of more limestone closer to the surface due to the slope/shallow soil. South facing slope, full sun exposure. 0.4 Hectares planted, average age of 45 years old.
Hand picked, whole-bunch pressed to tank. Left to settle overnight. Racked off gross lees to barrel, of which 20% is new. Wild fermented followed by malolactic. Left on fine lees for 12 months, battonage happens but frequency dependant on vintage. Moved to tank for another 4 months before bottling.
