Uva non Grata

Boutinot began as a tiny importer to the UK in 1980, specialising in French wines. Boutinot as a producer of wines started in January 1990. The first office was in the middle of the vines in Julienas; perfectly located to navigate the Beaujolais and Macon regions.

For over three decades now Boutinot has been based in the Mâconnais in Southern Burgundy, alongside their more recent purchase of a site in Cairanne as the centre of their Rhone operation. In addition more recently they succeeded in acquiring two key plots in the best climates of Saint-Véran, together with a gravity fed winery and a 300 year old house made of the local honey stone which is now their new office. This is where both Chateau Belleverne and Uva Non Grata are vinified.

Samantha Bailey, the head winemaker has been with Boutinot since the very beginning and oversees all Burgundy winemaking.
