IDDA

IDDA is a collaboration between two iconic names in Italian wine—Angelo Gaja and Alberto Graci—established in 2016 on the slopes of Mount Etna, one of Sicily’s most celebrated wine regions. The families own 20 hectares of vineyards in Belpasso and Biancavilla, at elevations ranging from 600 to 800 meters above sea level, where they focus on native varietals like Carricante and Nerello Mascalese.

IDDA, meaning “she” in Sicilian, is a tribute to the mountain itself, which the locals endearingly refer to in the feminine. Gaja and Graci’s choice to cultivate vineyards on Etna’s lesser-known southern slopes sets them apart, producing wines that reflect the volcanic terroir and unique microclimate of this exciting region.
