Sciara is an exciting boutique Etna estate founded by Stef Yim, whose vision is to let altitude, volcanic soils and old vines speak. He farms nine high elevation plots across Etna’s north, south and west slopes. Wines are labelled by altitude: 760m, 980m, 1200m, and crafted from predominantly Nerello Mascalese and other native varieties.
No chemicals in the vineyards and in the winery and a keen attention to terroir and vintage specificity defines Sciara as one of the most promising realities on Mount Etna for years to come.
